Missing Irish Football Fan: Police Find Body

Bayern Munich Boss Jailed For Tax Evasion

Police divers searching for an Irish football fan missing in northern Poland have found a body.

James Nolan, 21, from County Wicklow, was following Ireland in Euro 2012, and was last seen on Saturday night in the city of Bydgoszcz.

A police spokesman said an unidentified body was found early on Wednesday in a waterway in the city.

Mr Nolan was reported missing on Sunday afternoon when he failed to return to his hotel, after breaking off from a group of friends during a night out drinking and watching football.

Police later drafted in more than 100 officers and specialist divers to carry out the search.

Force spokesman Maciej Daszkiewicz said Mr Nolan's mobile phone was switched off, and his family said his disappearance was out of character.
