They include a farmer in Devon who said his phone had disappeared inside the back end of one of his cows.
He said he had been using the torch on his iPhone while helping the animal during calving.
He later retrieved the phone, but it was damaged.
Another weird claim came from a woman in Nottingham who said she had baked her Nokia 6303i into a Victoria Sponge cake.

One woman said she had been walking her Cocker Spaniel on Barry Island beach in Wales, when a seagull swooped and snatched her Samsung Galaxy from her hand.
A man in his 30s said he had been filming monkeys from the car window at Longleat Safari Park with his HTC One X when one of the animals snatched it after jumping onto the roof of his car.
Meanwhile, a couple claimed for their missing phone after dropping it over the side of a cruise ship while trying to recreate a scene from Titanic.
Other phone mishaps included a pyrotechnician who accidentally blew his device up with fireworks, and an angry girlfriend who threw her partner's phone at the wall.
