Mother's Tribute To Sons 'Killed By Father'

A mother has paid tribute to her two young sons who were apparently killed by their father, saying they "meant the world to me".

Victoria Jones has spoken of her devastation and loss after Jack, 11, and three-year-old Bryn were found in a flat in Tidworth, Wiltshire, on Saturday.

Ms Jones said the boys would be "sorely missed" by their friends and family.

They were found alongside the body of their father, Graham Anderson, who was 36.

Wiltshire Police said the boys' deaths were being treated as suspicious but detectives were not looking for anyone else at this stage.

In a statement released by police, Ms Jones, from Andover, Hampshire, said: "Jack was a keen footballer and absolutely loved playing the game.

"He was a very intelligent boy. Maths and science were his favourite subjects. He was loved by everyone who met him as he was such a sociable child.

"He was caring and loving towards Bryn and was the best big brother in the world.

"Bryn was a cheeky chappie who doted on and looked up to his elder brother. He enjoyed playing in his sandpit and on his trike. He loved animals, especially cats.

"Jack was due to start secondary school this week while Bryn was due to start at playgroup.

"Both Jack and Bryn will be sorely missed by their family and friends. The boys meant everything to me."

The boys were formally identified by a close relative in Southampton this afternoon, police said.

The body of their father was found in another room at the property in Auchinleck House on Sidbury Circular Road.

Det Chief Inspector Ian Saunders, who is leading the inquiry, said: "We would like to offer our condolences to their mother Victoria Jones and the boys' family on the tragic loss of Jack and Bryn.

"My officers are working hard to piece together the events that led to this appalling outcome so that we can pass the fullest possible report to the coroner.

"I hope now that the photographs of the boys and their father are in the public domain that we will hear from more people who might have seen them in the seven days leading up to the discovery of their bodies on Saturday afternoon."

The cause of death for the boys and their father has not yet been released.

Police are appealing for the public's help to piece together Mr Anderson's final moments.

He was a regular bus user and officers want to hear of any sightings of him or his sons during the week leading up to the discovery of their bodies.

The alarm was raised by Mr Anderson's landlady, who was due to show prospective new tenants around his flat.
