Featherweights Nam Phan and Jim Hettes have verbally agreed to fight at UFC 141 on Dec 30 in Las Vegas, according to UFC.com.

Phan (17-9) returns to the Octagon after avenging a controversial split decision loss to Leonard Garcia by winning a unanimous decision over him at UFC 136 in Houston. Those two bouts sandwiched a loss to former WEC champion Mike Brown at UFC 133. Making his way to the UFC via The Ultimate Fighter, Phan will be looking to get some momentum going against Hettes.

Undefeated in his professional career, Hettes (9-0) is by no means an easy task for Phan to build off of. Hettes won his Octagon debut by defeating another TUF alum in Alex Caceres at UFC on Versus 5. He has won every one of his fights by submission.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and former Strikeforce titleholder Alistair Overeem headline UFC 141 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
