New Zealander waiting to see if fish has broken world record

An angler in New Zealand has caught a massive 335kg tuna off the country's North Island.

Nathan Adams is now waiting to see if the giant bluefin tuna he landed breaks the record for one caught with line and rod.

That apart, there is the small problem of where to put the huge fish. And his wife Lisa is not keen to have it mounted on a wall in their home.

'She reckons it is like mounting a sofa on the wall or something. But I have nowhere else to put it until our club rooms are built,' he told Reuters.

The fish was caught on 17 February but video of the catch off Houhora has only just emerged.
