Nexus 10 photos posted to Google+ by Google chief

Two photographs allegedly taken with the yet to be announced Nexus 10 tablet have been posted on Google+.

Vic Gundotra, Senior Vice President of Engineering at Google, has listed the two images on his Google+ profile page. While he makes no immediate reference to them being taken with a Nexus 10, when you click on the details section of each image the camera is stated as being a "Nexus 10.

The dimensions of each image – both of which is a view of a beach - are given as being 2038 x 1536 pixels, which would suggest a lowly 3.1-megapixel camera. However, the resolution could have been altered for Google+ so hopefully we'll be seeing a higher-end camera built-in to the device.

Google is due to host an event in New York on 29 October, where a number of Nexus devices are expect to be unveiled, including the Nexus 4 along with the Nexus 10.

According to rumours the Nexus 10 tablet will be manufactured by Samsung and will feature a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution display with 16:10 aspect ratio and 330ppi.

It will also run Android 4.2, though this will be an upgrade for Jelly Bean rather than the new Key Lime Pie OS.
