Obama Gets Bear Hug From 'Overwhelmed' Fan

Barack Obama has been given a lift - literally - while on the presidential campaign trail in Florida.

Pizza shop owner Scott Van Duzer held the US leader in the air while embracing him in a bear hug.

"Scott, let me tell you, you are like the biggest pizza shop owner I've ever seen," Mr Obama said of the 6ft 3in businessman after stopping at his restaurant during a bus tour.

Commenting on the man's strength, the president added: "The guy's just got a big heart, along with big pecs."

Mr Van Duzer has received a number of commendations from the White House for his work running a foundation which collects blood for transfusions.

The 46-year-old, who said he would be voting for Mr Obama in November's election, said: "I was overwhelmed when I saw him."

The president is believed to have bought 20 pizzas for his campaign team during the visit.
