Dramatic video captures mid-air crash between hang-glider and paraglider

This is the dramatic moment a paraglider and a hang-glider crashed in mid-air.

The male hang-glider and female paraglider flew into each other above Australia's Gold Coast sending each other plummeting to the ground.

Mid-air footage filmed by another paraglider shows the female paraglider making a left turn into the path of the hang-glider.

The pair clash and tumble earthwards, as a parachute is wrapped around the hang-glider's frame.

Fortunately, the hang-glider manages to deploy an emergency parachute seconds before crashing into dense forest near Beechmont, south of Brisbane, last week.

The pair landed in foliage, tangled by ropes around 20m from the ground.
