Id like to know; what exactly is it, that you hope to see or find in following the reported actions of various 'public' or 'star' figures, like this one? The 'events' are provided and covered by the media, for those that feel they want or need them, but WHY do you need them?
If no-one turned up to watch or stare - the events just would not happen at all. It is all costly and time consuming -and wherein lies the entertainment, except in wondering what the hell is going on?
Why not, say, send some money instead to a charity that interests you, to an organization doing some work on behalf of such an organization - but just to 'look'? To stare? To count buttons, look at colors of clothes, consider prices of this or that..
.what is it all about? Does anyone know?

Wow it never ceases to amaze me how snotty some people can be in the comments section on Yahoo stories. We are supposed to think of others plights as well as our own and then try and do at least a bit of something to help. Seems like the 'haters' are just racking up some bad karma for themselves....

Great that kate wants to follow in Diana's footsteps, visiting the sick, and attending charities, but she needs to be mindfull of ' paparatsi; too much puplicity will get william worried, She needs to tread carefully. She will be exhausted after all that......

Her face must ache with all that fake smiling! Charitable kate visits x, y & z because she is TOLD TO!! That is now her job. She probably doesn't fancy going to half these places, but she now has a job to do - fronting face of the royal family.

Ho please what a load of nonsense, go home you stupid outdated female royal idiot, scrapping the bottom of the barrel to gain public adoration, go home and bake some cakes or something, the public have more pressing engagements to deal with, than trying to be polite to the likes of you idiots.

I dont see the big deal, she is given money (tax money no doubt) to give to charities. and they make a big show of it which defeats the purpose of being charitable.

      Oh well, publicity i guess.
