I think it’s an impossible situation for the police to deal with. If they use strong arm tactics they get criticised, if they’re too soft dealing with a situation they’re accused of not doing enough. It calls for stronger methods to deal with people like these and what we need is a national guard like America. Other countries don’t put up with mindless behaviour such as this, why should we? Zero tolerance is the only answer!

Watching a news report this morning I listened to a female "participant" of the riot,who clearly shared her brain cell with all the rioting masses. She talked of "wanting respect" in return for showing respect....well my dear, respect is earned unlike the benefit handouts your probably used to. ( no disrespect to genuine claimants here).

If they want to fight pull the armed forces out of Iraq and all of the other countries, and let all of these so called British people fight as much as they want, against people who are allowed to fight back

i am a normal girl who isnt doing anything wrong, has her own family, her own business, and just lives a normal life without getting in anybody's way. I like to wear hoodies, but that doesnt make me a bad person or a riot neither a bully, so not everyone who wears a hoody is bad or better said evil. What is happening at this time in England is very bad, it is evil, it is a society without Christ, without respect, remorse or morals. Someone needs to do something very fast before things will get worse. People must think about innocent people who are suffering, and stop blaming the government to justify their actions, also now it is the time for the government to listen to people at the same time and at least to try and make some good things instead of thinking only of themselves.

we are a nation of sorry sorry sorrys. we listen too much to why we should be tolerant, and forgiving,. and it goes on and on, we should have put our foots down along time ago, remember , when the muggings began, and the knifings began,. and so on, and so on, why would the younger generation worry now, they see that the worst that can happen , is a couple of hours of community service.....why then, would they worry, the whole law needs changing. and the punishments need to be severe. otherwise we will still be watching all this crap in years to come.

this is a direct result of the mammy pammy society we live in, dont tell your kids off, let them give their teachers grief, dont make them work, dont whatever you do, tell them their wrong, it goes on and on, the ones arrested so far, are giving grief to the police, they will be released, and then nothing will happen, tomorrows news will be about something else. and it goes on and on. we lost the plot , years ago, lets be fair, this was coming. no law, no deterrent, no respect. what did we expect?

They are the lowest and need a fitting punishment, what good will these people ever do for this country, shoot em, hang em, whichever costs the tax payer the least is the best idea, they are just a huge waste of space and "Oxygen stealers"

Hear hear! Clear the streets of this filth and fight fear with fear. A couple of years in a holiday camp (sorry prison) holds no fear for these scum. We need to find something they love and destroy it or take it away - and if the only thing they love is themselves, then we take their life away from them. These idiots only understand one thing. Violence. Sad but true.

What on earth can we do to help the services stop this? I know in the long run we need to e
re-establish an order of respect for life, for authority, for the rights of others living along side of us. Short of dropping the scum (who are continuing to wreak this havoc over our country) in the widest ocean without a pot to piss in - we must ensure the punishment fits the crime. We can no longer sustain a society that believes the world owes it a living. WE BLOODY DON'T! All of us decent, hard-working and respectful citizens far outweigh the scum. Let US march against THEM. They must be beaten back now!
