Perhaps it is about time the government took stock of what is happening in this country. There has been too many cuts against the good people of England and yet we still bail out other countries. The youth of today do not have enough to do to keep them occupied and there are not enough jobs to go around. There is bound to be unrest. I do not condone the actions of the past few nights but unless something is done soon I can only see it getting worse. We should stop giving millions away to other countries, after all who comes to our aid when we suffer floods or the devastation that has just gone on?

The police should be given total immunity in their actions to control this mayhem. The police need to be heavy handed not only on the trouble makers, but also those being spectators and taking photos. Introduce a curfew and anyone violating that should be punished so heavily that others would tremble in their shoes before even thinking of causing trouble.

Citizens should not only respect, but fear the police. I could not help but feel sorry for the pathetic state of the police when I heard one of those trouble makers in Manchester live on Sky news "swearing, claiming that it is a do what you want day today and the police cannot do anything". He also said that he was not a law abiding person and he was out solely for unlawful purposes !!!!

Should the honest, hard working and law abiding people be taking matters in their own hands to protect their homes, businesses and everything that they have worked for so hard all their life? I am sure the law of the state will not batter an eyelid before prosecuting such actions.

water cannons, tear gas, plastic riot rounds , let the police use these against these thugs, arrest deport and punish those who think thay are old enough to commit these crimes then your old enough to serve the sentence weather your 8 or 80, make the parents responcible for there siblings, bring a curfew in....

Send all the offenders off to Saudi Arabia to be punished, they chop your hands off for stealing over there..........
