Year in Review: Most popular songs of 2012

International artists dominate 2012's best selling singles with only two appearances by British acts. The list, based on figures from The Official Charts Company, sees X Factor winner James Arthur and Jessie J in the top ten. Digital dominated the singles market, which saw a 6% sales increase to 188.6 million in 2012, with the overwhelming majority (99.6%) being sold digitally.
