Playboy's Brandi Brandt 'In Drugs Syndicate'

A former Playboy model has been extradited to Australia to face charges of importing cocaine into the country.

Brandi Brandt, who was once married to Motley Crue bass player Nikki Sixx, is accused of being part of a syndicate which hid drugs on Qantas and United Airlines planes between Los Angeles and Sydney.

The packages of cocaine were then picked up from the planes by airline catering company workers, according to documents filed at Sydney's Central Local Court.

It is claimed that between July and December 2007, Brandt, 44, was involved in a conspiracy to bring a "commercial quantity" of drugs into the country.

According to the documents, she also handled around £75,500 (Aus$130,000) from the proceeds of crime.

Brandt was extradited from the US and has been remanded in custody in Sydney ahead of a court hearing next month. She has not entered a plea.

Last month, her former boyfriend, the motorcycle stuntman Rusty Setser, was extradited to Sydney to face similar charges.
