    Redknapp Would Consider England Job

Harry Redknapp says he would consider becoming the next England manager and is flattered to be linked with the position.

The Tottenham boss admits it is the ultimate job, but doesn't think combining roles is a good idea.

Redknapp said: "It's hard enough managing Tottenham. For anybody to try and do two jobs, I'd say that would be very difficult."

"I can't take my eye off the ball at Tottenham at the moment because we're looking to get Champions League football, we're still in the FA Cup, and I owe it to them to continue to keep completely focused on the job I'm doing here."

He added: "It wouldn't be easy (leaving Spurs). It would be very difficult. I'm happy, but if the opportunity comes, and I get asked, I'll have to consider it."

The Football Association are meeting to draw up a shortlist for the vacant position following Fabio Capello's resignation.

Redknapp has received huge backing from across the country to take the position.

England internationals Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand have backed him for the position and a host of Premier League managers have also tipped him.

Harry , C'mon wise up , stick with the Spurs and have a quiet life , England are a lost cause, we know the script already with England, your name will be mud after the Euoros , and the press will dig really deep to find out what else you have been doing. 5 million Scots pished themselves laughing at the last efforts with the England team, do you really want to be a part of this again?. we are still cleaning up the flood waters , and our bladders are filling up again.

He's obviously too flattered to take everything in. He's probably forgotten that he wont be able to select Bale, Modric and Van der Vaart amongst others which means he's left with a few over paid and poor Englishmen. Loose one game and the Media will cruscify him, anyway they haven't started hounding him yet about his dodgy dealings. Surely Jamie is intelligent enough to advise him properly.

Yeah lets hire the most player unfriendly manager in the league, "Arry" has a track record of treating management as if he's playing Football Manager on his computer and now everyone think he can do the England job?. he only buy's foreigners for the most part and he is shifty to say the least, what a joke people in this country are, utter hypocrites, what's good for one isn't for the other unless a paper says it's ok and then the sheeple all flock to follow.

He is a great manager who knows how to organised his team. Can you believed the state of Portsmouth after he left? But let's hope that his departure would not affect Spurs board. He is a none discriminatory individual, a motivator and always give chance to players regardless of their backgrounds and he thus know how to get the best out of players. 100% Harry for England - come on you three Lions!!!

Why would any manger of a currently successful club want to leave and take the huge stress that comes with the England job.... all of the managers in the last 30 years have had nothing but rubbish... Come on Redknapp.. stay at Spurs... Make the Premiership interesting..
