    Reid Released After Break-in Arrest

Cagefighter Alex Reid has gone online to talk about his arrest following another disturbance at the house he shares with fiancee Chantelle Houghton.

The 37-year-old was detained by officers from Essex Police  - he was questioned "on suspicion of causing criminal damage and using violence to secure entry" at their home in Brentwood.

He was later freed without charge after several hours in custody.

In a statement on his official website, he said: "The reasons for Alex's arrest have been widely publicised and in some cases inaccurate and based on conjecture.

"Alex considers this a private matter and therefore is not prepared to comment on it save to say that he assisted police with their inquiries and following that, the police have taken no further action."

Even before this latest incident Reid talked a great deal about his love-hate relationship with the media.

On Tuesday he had said on Twitter: " I'm human and iv made mistakes but sometimes I'm am purposely used by the media as the fall guy."

And in a magazine this week, Reid admitted he had made errors in his relationship with Houghton, with whom he has an 11-week old daughter, Dolly.

Once married to model Katie Price, he took time away from the family home earlier this summer, staying at his mother's house for several days.

He said: 'I'm doing everything in my power to make it work. I've made bad mistakes and choices."

The couple have been dating for 16 months, and have run into several problems throughout the course of their relationship.

She told the new issue of OK! magazine: "Things have been really strained. There's never a day without drama."
