The Emmy-winning creator of The Office and Extras has announced he is working on a web series called Learn English With Ricky Gervais.
On his website, the comedian reveals a pilot has recently been completed and that "it's turned out great".
"We hope to have it subtitled into as many languages as possible," Gervais wrote.
"I'm going to put out the first one free as a taster then work out the best way to distribute.
"Might charge a small fee or get it sponsored. Unlike the audio podcasts this actually costs quite a bit to make, but even if we charge it will still only be a couple of quid."
It co-stars Gervais' frequent collaborator and comedy foil Karl Pilkington.
Although he did not describe the series, it can be expected to be more comedic than educational.
Gervais is also working on new British series Derek and An Idiot Abroad, which both star Pilkington, and Life's Too Short with the actor Warwick Davis.
