The search for a four-year-old boy who went missing in the sea off the Somerset coast has been formally called off.
Dylan Cecil, from Kettering, Northamptonshire, fell off a jetty at Burnham-on-Sea on Sunday evening.
The boy's parents, Rachel McCollum and Darren Cecil, frantically tried to rescue him, but were unable to reach their son.
Police said Dylan had wanted to get closer to the sea when he slipped off the edge and went under the water. It was high tide when he fell in.
Four lifeboats, five coastguard rescue teams, police and the RAF helicopter were involved in the search for Dylan.
But the hunt was scaled back this afternoon, with searches in deep water being called off.
Authorities continued to look for the boy's body around the mudflats, but stopped the search at 4.30pm.
