CCTV of the last moments of Sian O'Callaghan's life has been released as her killer Christopher Halliwell was jailed for life after admitting to her murder.
Private hire driver Halliwell, 48, snatched 22-year-old Sian off the street as she walked home alone from a night out in Swindon, Wiltshire, in February last year.
He subjected the brunette PA to a sickening physical and sexual assault after driving her to the Savernake Forest in his Toyota Avensis cab.
Halliwell stabbed Sian twice - in the back of the neck and head - as well as throttling, punching and kicking her.
Father-of-three Halliwell later moved Sian's body to Uffington, Oxon, to keep it hidden.
Ian Lawrie QC, prosecuting at Bristol Crown Court, said Halliwell had subjected Sian to horrific suffering before her death.
Today Halliwell admitted his sickening crime at Bristol Crown Court in front of Sian's devastated family, including boyfriend Kevin Reape.
Sian, who had recently moved in with Kevin, was seen on CCTV unsteadily walking in the direction of their house a few streets away from Suju nightclub where she had enjoyed a night out with friends.
She was more than three times the drink drive limit when she walked home, Mr Lawrie added.
Halliwell - who had been working for private hire firm Five Star Taxis - had been prowling Swindon's streets looking for victims after clocking off work for the night.
Footage shows the driver trawling through streets including the High Street, past Suju, before driving past Sian then turning round and stopping next to her at 2.57am.
It is unclear whether he forced Sian into his vehicle or she entered of her own accord - as he turned on his hazard lights, dazzling CCTV cameras.
Sian's mobile phone received a text message from Kevin at 3.24am saying 'in bed, you?' - a reply to a message from Sian to her boyfriend asking 'where are you' at 1.24am.
The phone used a mast situated at Cadley, adjacent to Savernake Forest. Police believe Halliwell killed Sian at this location.
Halliwell's car returned to the location of Sian's body at around 12pm on March 19 - hours after the murder. Later that day, at 8.56pm, his car was seen driving back towards the site.
It was spotted making its way towards Oxford, before returning at 9.36pm - scouting out suitable places to move her body to.
He is believed to have returned to visit Sian's a total of four times after killing her, before moving it to Uffington, Oxon, at around 2.46am on March 21.
Surveillance officers following Halliwell noticed him cleaning the rear passenger seat of his car on March 22 - just hours before walking to Suju nightclub to pick up missing posters for Sian.
Halliwell was also seen cleaning the footwell and rear of his driver's seat, as well as dumping car seat covers and a head rest in an industrial bin in Swindon.
Forensics laters found Sian's blood on the rear seat cover at the front edge of the seat.
Officers saw Halliwell burning items in the road on March 23, which were later identified to be two front seat bases, two front seat backs, two head rests and the base to the rear seat.
Halliwell was officially made a suspect on March 22. That evening, he entered Five Star Taxis office to collect wages and told a colleague: "who knows what or who you find buried out there, there could be loads of people over the years".
He was arrested on March 24 after buying an 'overdose' quantity of pills from a chemist.
After arrest Halliwell denied having anything to do with Sian's death.
But he later led police to her body, which was found down a steep bank around 15ft from the verge of a road in remote countryside in Uffington.
Sian's heartbroken mother Elaine gave a heartbreaking impact statement to the judge.
She said: "Remembering back I always think of life before Sian and after Sian. There never truly is closure, moving on is accepting that my life has changed in every way.
"I am just a mum who wants her daughter back."
