Will Smith And Wife Jada Deny Split Rumours

Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith have been forced to publicly deny rumours they have broken up.

It comes after US media outlets reported that the couple's 13-year marriage had ended.

The pair issued a statement saying: "Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumours circulating about our relationship are completely false.

"We are still together, and our marriage is intact."

Regarded as having one of the most solid relationships in Hollywood, rumours of the split quickly spread across the internet.

At one point 'Will and Jada' was one of the highest-trending topics on Twitter as fans reacted with shock at the news.

Pinkett Smith's spokeswoman also issued a further denial that the actress had an affair with her Hawthorne television show co-star Marc Anthony , who recently separated from his wife, Jennifer Lopez .

"All the rumours regarding Marc Anthony and Jada are false. Completely untrue," she said

The Hollywood couple met in 1995 when Pinkett Smith auditioned for the role of Smith's girlfriend in the hit television series The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.

They married in 1997 and went on to have two children together: Jaden, 13, and Willow, 10.

The family did a front-page spread for Architectural Digest magazine last month - and gave no hint of any marriage troubles.

Pinkett Smith said of their Malibu home: "We're very earthy, organic people. We wanted to create a family retreat, something made by hand and as natural as possible, something that ties back to the land."

The 39-year-old added: "Whatever it becomes, the craftsmanship will always represent our union and the love of our family."

Smith, 42, is one of the world's biggest film stars, having appeared in hits including Men In Black, Independence Day, Hitch and I Am Legend.

Pinkett Smith is his second wife, having divorced former fashion design student Sheree Zampino in 1995 after three years together.

Their two children have followed their parents' footsteps and gone on to have successful showbiz careers of their own.

Jaden is the highest-paid child star in Hollywood - earning £2m from his role in the remake of The Karate Kid.

Willow had international success with her debut single Whip My Hair last year, and supported Justin Bieber on his UK tour.
