Ssscary: Snake Hitches Ride On Car Bonnet

A family in America have had a frightening surprise after a snake appeared on their car bonnet as they sped along at 65 miles-per-hour.

Shortly after leaving home, Tennessee couple Rachel and Tony Fisher saw the unwelcome passenger rear its head, peering in at them and their three children through the windscreen.

It is thought the reptile - believed to be a non-venomous gray rat snake - had been hiding in the car's engine after the Fishers parked it in a wooded area.

During a video filmed by Mr Fisher, his wife can be heard screaming "oh my God" while he says "I want it to fall off".

But after managing to travel as far as it could with the Fishers, the five-foot long hitchhiker decided it was time to go and slithered across the vehicle before dropping off at its chosen destination.

[Video: Bird refuses to get off windscreen wipers]

Mrs Fisher told the New York Daily News: "My husband saw it out of the corner of his eye and did a double-take.

"He whipped out his phone and turns it on and captures the whole thing until it falls off."

Hmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!! What a shocking news? A snake on a car Bonnet? Incredible. I think Rachel & Tony reacting in a way that any normal human being would react. A serpent is NOT a friendly animal. Who knows? maybe it had hidden in the car engine for destruction. Ahahahaha, if it had happened but here in AFRICA, many African folks would have attached evil spiritual, and supersticious BELIEVES that the reptile had been sent by a sorcerer for an evil mission. Thank God for that family in America that was not harmed. Have a nice day. Byeee.

Please please please!!!how do u expect them to pull ova and let the snake down..as harsh as it may sound..this world has always been survival of the fittest even in the WILD!!.people are soo quick to scream/cry cruelty to animals...when snakes and animals @#$% and sting people to death..no1 cries cruelty to mankind then!!!
.how do u expect a couple with KIDS seeing a snake (pls note that none of them are zoologists nor snake experts to know if it is poisonous or not)to stop and let it down, did y'all ever think of the snake just crawling under the car and waiting for an unsuspecting member of the vehicle to just hop down and get bitten??many of you would have done the same. I am sure the main thing that was on the couple's mind was saving their kids..or is the snake more important than the kids???..and yeah it is news because its not something you see everyday

omg!!! what assholes...poor snake..I hope that it was okay. It innocently went to sleep in a car engine where it was warm, woke up to find that it was speeding along in a car full of retarded hillbillies...I do hope that it got away safely..All that stupid and unnecessary (the poor snake was nowhere near you Mrs. Redneck) screaming 'omg! omg!' just made this even more awful to watch. Please God the snake survived. Can not work out why they did not stop, pull in somewhere safe and just let the poor snake go in a relatively safe environment....but hey..that was them...this is me!

      I really don't like snakes.

But I felt really bad for this one, who was clearly distressed and probably died. The people in the car should really have pulled over instead of videoing it. Grrrr....

For god sake!! All these idiots harping on about it being cruel! This video is 52 seconds long and the person filming it got his phone out as soon as he saw it. How quickly do you people think it takes to pull over on a busy freeway like that? I hate animal cruelty but this IS NOT ANIMAL CRUELTY!! Its a family who got shocked (as anyone would) that a snake was on their windscreen and took a quick video to record it. Get off your high horses and calm down Jeeeeez!!! Have a pint of snakebite or something.!!!

I really really hope those idiots get what's coming to them. Snakes are amazing creatures can't believe anybody would be cruel enough to endanger one like that. What goes around comes around. I hope the snake survived unharmed even though I know in my heart that was probably not the case.

Dickheads. They should/must be charged for cruelty and using a phone while driving.
      Guilty by their own evidence.

They should of pulled over and let the snake slide off.PLUS they were driving at 65 MILES PER HOUR on a HIGHWAY.

I can't stand snakes, but like others I am appalled that the car did not pull over and let the snake slither off!
    • Julian Leonovich  •  9 months ago
Stupid people - all they can do is blaspheme, O my God! O my God! Instead of which, the most humane and sensible thing would have been to have pulled over and to have let the poor serpent slither off on to the grass verge...

That poor snake, Why not just pull over, it don't know whats happening, he's scared
