Forget water-skiing, snow-skiing through the streets of Ankara is where it is at

It's the sort of behaviour that would leave health and safety officials aghast.

But Koray Koyluoglu makes snowboarding down a highway in Ankara, Turkey's capital city, look perfectly normal.

In this extraordinary two-minute video he is seen being pulled by a rope attached to what appears to be a handyman's van. At one point he even reaches down to touch the snow with a glove.

The footage was shot at night after the country's second largest city was covered in several inches of snow and comes as much of Europe is struggling with freezing temperatures which have so far claimed the lives of more than 200 people.

Ok so it's dangerous but so are bungi jumping and jumping out of planes and lots of people do those, it also looks like fun. As a child my mother and her friends use to walk across a fast flowing river on wet mossy bolders right beside where it dropped quite a bit, had sliped they could have been badly hurt or drowned.
When I was a child my friend and I used to sledge down a hill with a lagre very spiky bush just over half way down which we would jump the sledge over by giving a very sharp pull on the rope at the front. Miss timeing would at best have had one of us thrown into the bush or as we were repeatedly told with a broken neck.
Every one of us grows up doing dangerous things with very few paying any price for doing so.
ENJOY YOURSELF WHERE EVER YOU CAN WHEN YOU ARE YOUNG.
