Sony Walkman E470 brings a touch of colour to your audio experience

Sony has unveiled a colourful range of MP3 players as it looks to introduce its Walkman range to a younger audience.

With a waistline of just 7mm, the Sony Walkman E470 Series is available in six different colours; red, bronze, lime green, turquoise, pink and black and features an two-inch LCD display that hovers above a track pad.

Being for the "kids", Sony has included a couple of features to appeal to the younger generation including a choice of games. However, our favourite is the Karaoke mode that lets you sing along to various tracks with the lyrics appearing on the LCD display should you lose your way.

With a memory capacity of 8GB, Sony reckons users will be able to cram in 1750 songs based on each track being four minute, 128 kbps files.

Fork out for the Sony Walkman E473K and you'll also get a portable speaker dock that uses the MP3 player's battery power to play your tunes out loud and without wires.

The Sony Walkman E470 range has begun shipping throughout Europe and is available for around £57.

If you're wanting a little more from your Sony Walkman experience, might we suggest you check out the F800 that comes with Ice Cream Sandwich and access to a host of apps.
