    SPL Round-Up

Motherwell have gone to the top of the table after a 4-1 win over Inverness.

Michael Higdon scored a hat-trick for the Steelmen as they go one point clear of Celtic at the head of the SPL.

Dundee are off the bottom of the SPL table after a 1-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle.

The visitors took the lead after just two minutes when Ryan Conroy converted a penalty which was won after Marius Zaliukas fouled Colin Nish.

Hearts did have opportunities to get back into the match and missed a penalty of their own, John Sutton seeing his spot-kick saved by Rab Douglas.

And Dundee held on to pick up their first league win of the season.

Elsewhere, Rangers picked up their second win of the season with a 5-1 victory over Elgin City.
