Spring Training Tickets Have Cleveland Indians Fans Smiling in the Desert

The Tribe will set up its tepees in the desert beginning March 4. The Cleveland Indians will hold their spring yraining games at Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, Ariz.

Goodyear Ballpark is a new facility. It was built in 2010 and is a mixed-use home that hosts both the Indians and the Cincinnati Reds. The facilities have a little something for everyone. On a budget? You can get outfield Berm tickets for as little as $11. On the other end of the spectrum, the Club and Premium Box seating includes padded sets and a wait staff.

Tickets are available as single-game tickets, mini-plan and season tickets. All seating sections are available for single-game purchase. For example, assuming season ticket holders haven't bought all the seats behind home plate, those seats are available for single-game purchase. Another perk to the Indians facility is they don't charge more money for premium games. You pay the same to see the Texas Rangers as you do the Kansas City Royals. An interesting feature of this park is that you can buy a "half season" ticket, which gets you tickets to the 16 Indians games, or a "full season" package,, which gets you tickets to the 16 Reds games as well.

Tickets are available through MLB.com, Ticketmaster, or the Goodyear Ballpark box office. The earlier you buy your tickets, the better your seats will be. If you absolutely must have a seat for a sold out game, third party retailers such as Stub Hub may be a good option because they will replace counterfeit tickets bought through their website.

As with any sport, season tickets are expensive, but if you plan on staying the entire month they may be your best option. If you are thinking of getting season tickets, now would be a good time. Season tickets may be renewed for several years.

Because this is a fairly new ballpark, some very good seats are still open.
