Woman's body discovered at house in Athlone

The town of Athlone is in shock this evening following the discovery of a woman's body at a house earlier today.

Garda made the discovery at around ten o'clock this morning at Valley Court.

The house was sealed off and a team of forensic experts were this evening at the scene.

The state pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy is due there later.
