Well if you tuned into "Teen Mom 2" last night looking for a feel-good hour of television, you went to the wrong place because last night's episode was just straight up depressing. Fights, heartache, relationships deteriorating...even a sad basement bathtub. Nope, nothing to smile about this week.
So let's recap...
Kail and Jo are still squabbling about child support, and even though Kail is decked out in North Face gear and Louis Vuitton purses, she's crying poor. Not to say that Jo shouldn't support his child, but it isn't the dire situation this is playing out to be on screen. Anyway, Jo writes an appeal to Kail's child support petition which basically says that he shouldn't be required to pay $480 a month plus an extra $40 to cover back-support because he paid for Isaac the first nine months of his life. Well, good for you, Jo...that's what Dad's are supposed to do. Now on to the next 17 years of Isaac's life. Kail went to an attorney after receiving Jo's letter, and we're going to have to see how this all plays out in front of a judge.
Chelsea is another sad case on the show this week because the inevitable happened... Adam dumped her for the 5,327th time in the last two years. Oh, true to form, they'll probably get back together in the next couple of episodes, but Chelsea's moping and crying because she can't stop thinking about him. It's so bad that she can't even enjoy her new job at the tanning salon! Move on, girl. Time to want better for yourself, and Adam just isn't it.
Well, the writing seems to be on the wall for the soon to be doomed marriage of Corey and Leah. They can't seem to communicate on the most basic of levels or reach a compromise about anything. Leah is still insisting on moving to a new house because she's sick of bathing the twins in a rickety tub down in a basement that floods and mildews. And she doesn't want to drive an hour each way for Allie's physical therapy. Corey on the other hand, wants a new truck instead and they go back and forth grunting about it for what seems like an eternity. But in the end, it looks like Leah's going to what Leah wants, and that's move.
This week on Jenelle vs. Reality, the troubled teen mom is having another round of drama in her life that doesn't involve her mother for a change. Although Jenelle isn't all that thrilled that her mother, Barbara, is expecting Jenelle to pay some kind of child support for her son, Jace. But Jenelle bought a bunch of new furniture for her move into friend Tori's house, so those payments might have to wait until Jenelle gets a job. Of course there's drama with Jenelle and her on again off again hoodlum boyfriend, Keiffer, which is the catalyst for an even bigger fight that ends in quite a physical brawl between Jenelle and Tori that even gets the boyfriends involved. So once again...Jenelle is going to be homeless because she can't keep herself in check. Here we thought Amber Portwood was the scariest Teen Mom out there. Nope, the trophy is now Jenelle's. That was a scary mood swing turned fight. Luckily her son Jace was kept far, far away from it.
So that's it for this week's episode. Next week, hopefully things cheer up a bit when Chelsea seems to get over Adam a little bit and puts on a balloon hat and walks around the mall to celebrate.
