The friendly stray cat who's a regular at his local PET SHOP (and he always heads straight for the rats and fish)

A cheeky stray cat has found the ultimate new home - by becoming a regular at his local pet shop.

The ginger-and-white tom, nicknamed 'Graham' turns up outside the store in Boston, Lincs, every day just like a keen customer.

The brazen feline wanders in every day when doors open at 9am - and has even helped increase sales due to his daily appearances.

Since his first visit several months ago, Graham has become a regular at the shop - where he will spend hours at a time.

A video filmed by staff shows Graham sprawled on the ground in front of the shop's automatic doors as he waits to be let in.

Once inside, he wanders over to the till enclosure and opens the staff gate with his paw before jumping on the counter.

Graham can also be seen attempting to claw his way - unsuccessfully - into a rodent enclosure and staring transfixed at a goldfish tank.

Workers at the Pets at Home store in Lincolnshire, said Graham has become a hit with customers.

Shop assistant George Tarbox said: 'Initially we discouraged him from coming in, but he kept coming back.

'We thought it wouldn’t be very good to keep shooing him out as pets are always welcome here - although they're usually on a lead when they come in.

'We have caught him chewing on a packet of cat food before, but he's generally no trouble and likes to sit and watch the rodents, dragons and fish we have in store.

'He's become a bit of a celebrity too as we often have customers asking where he is.'

Deputy manager Vicky Coker said Graham can always be found outside the shop in the morning.

She said: 'Sometimes he sits on the mat and greets customers as they come in.

'I think he’s built up a bit of a fan base.'
