This Scary Secret iPhone Menu Shows All The Places You Frequently Visit

If your iPhone is stolen, a thief could find your house

An alarming ‘secret’ menu on iPhone which shows all the places you frequently visit has been highlighted in a Facebook video this week.

The menu has alarmed users because it could reveal details of their private lives - and, more worryingly, could tell a thief exactly where someone’s house is.

The menu stores information generated by iPhone’s location systems - and is buried deep within your iPhone’s menu.

Thankfully, you can turn it off.

To see what’s in yours, go to Settings, then Privacy, then Location Services. Then tap the System Services menu and scroll down to Frequent Locations menu.

A viral video explaining how to switch it off hit Facebook this week, uploaded by Melody Puckett.

Puckett said, ‘Important: there’s a privacy setting on your iPhone that if not turned off, shows a map with dates and times of your frequent locations, including your home.

‘I made a quick video showing what it shows and how to turn it off. It’s frightening to think that someone with bad intentions could find your home and work, and know what times you are usually there. Shame on Apple. Feel free to share with friend
