    Top five addictive phone games

Whether you're a commuter who needs a distraction from long journeys, or an app-addict who is looking for the latest game crazes, these five games are perfect for you. Simple to play and incredibly addictive, you'll find yourself unable to put your phone down once you start.

    Draw Something

This Pictionary-esque game has been a huge hit with smart phone users over the past few weeks. Once you've scrolled through your Facebook friends to find out who else is using it - and trust me, there will be plenty of challengers waiting to show off their artistic skills - you are given a choice of three things to draw, their difficulty depending on how many coins you will receive if your opponent gets the answer correct. Coin collections allow you to buy colour palettes, making the game a whole lot more interesting. Try drawing everything from Pegasus to Shakira, and see if you're 'drawsome'.

    Say What You See

Whether you're a film buff, music lover or telly addict, Say What You See is an amazing combination of Where's Wally and Catchphrase. After choosing a themed canvas, be it music festivals, video games or scary movies, you are presented with a number of different objects and characters within the painting. Each one is a cryptic image relating to your chosen subject and it's up to you to work out what it means. My personal favourite was an image in the American TV Show canvas - a pile of logs on a hospital bed, hooked up to a drip. Answer? Deadwood, obviously! With so many canvases and even more images to guess, this will have you instantly addicted.

    Paper Toss

In real life, you'll know how frustrating it is when you go to throw something in the bin and miss, and you'll also know how rewarding it is when your perfect aim calls for a yell of victory. Now imagine you can pretend to do this on your phone, and that a nearby fan of constantly changing strength can alter the course of your paper ball if you throw too far left or right. Sound boring? Unusually, it far from it. This classic game for your smart phone will have you obsessed from the first paper toss, allowing you to perfect your binning skills and feel a sense of smugness every time you shoot and score. It shouldn't be this fun, but you'll be hooked.

    Temple Run

Temple Run is a simple concept that has a huge majority of the android population reaching for their phones whenever they get a spare minute. The game sees you trying to escape a rather terrifying brood of monkeys, collecting gold along the way and using your insanely sharp reflexes to jump logs, avoid obstacles and turn sharp corners to see if you can outrun the demon monkeys.

    Unblock Me

If you're a fan of logic games, Unblock Me will have you glued to your phone for hours as this simple puzzle game allows you to chose a beginner or an expert board, and will keep you endlessly entertained. By sliding the rectangular blocks around the board, the aim is to get the red block from the opening to the exit. Somehow more addictive than traditional gridlock games, Unblock Me requires patience and acute logic skills.
