What celebrities and athletes could be the next Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen or Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari? With Valentine's Day coming up, it's the perfect time to play matchmaker for celebs and sports stars.
So in honor of the most romantic time of the year, here's a look at who should consider going on a Valentine's Day date:
Kim Kardashian and Kobe Bryant: Kim has denied rumors that she's dating New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, so perhaps she's still sticking to browsing NBA rosters for an eligible bachelor. Luckily for her, one of the Los Angeles Lakers' biggest stars is about to be a single man, and she and Kobe both have something in common: their very public divorces. Having a name that begins with the letter "K" is also a plus to the Kardashian clan.
Paris Hilton and Jason Pierre-Paul: It has to be killing Paris that her old pal Kim is getting more attention than her, so perhaps she needs to follow her friend's lead by hooking up with an athlete. Dating the New York Giants' defensive end would certainly make headlines since his team just won the Super Bowl, and "Paris Pierre-Paul" does have a ring to it (having alliterative names has worked out well for the Kardashian sisters).
Katy Perry and Cam Newton: This newly single pop star and Carolina Panthers quarterback got their flirt on at the Associated Press NFL Awards on Feb. 4. While presenting Cam with the Rookie of the Year Award, Katy cooed, "You'll be the first straight man I've had a photo with in a long time, so live up to it."
Hopefully he got her number after that, and hopefully her comment was not a quip about Russell Brand's sexuality. Katy does have a thing for football stars. At a concert at her alma mater in 2010, she spotted her quarterback crush from high school in the crowd and called him out for not dating her.
Taylor Swift and Tim Tebow: Everyone seemingly wants to corrupt the Denver Broncos quarterback by hooking him up with Katy or Kim, but Tebow deserves someone sweeter and better-behaved like Taylor. He would probably really appreciate that the cute country crooner toured with Christian band Needtobreathe last year; it shows that her values might align with his. Her good reputation would also make her the perfect politician's wife if Tebow really does pursue public office someday.
Prince Harry and Lindsey Vonn: Harry loves beautiful blondes and skiing, and he and Vonn are both very ambitious and athletic; she captured her 50th World Cup on Feb. 4, and the prince is planning on climbing Mount Everest later this year. Anglophiles in America would certainly love to see Harry date a girl from the States.
