Vicarage Murder: Man Arrested In Folkestone

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a clergyman who was stabbed to death in his vicarage.

Stephen Farrow, 47, was taken into custody after a police operation in Folkestone in the early hours of this morning, following information from a member of the public.

His details were circulated by the police who said they urgently needed to talk to him about the murder of Reverend John Suddards at Thornbury in South Gloucestershire on Tuesday.

Parishioners have been turning out at Rev Suddards' church of St Mary's to pay their respects.

Avon and Somerset Police's Detective Chief Inspector Simon Crisp said: "Early this morning, on our behalf, Kent Police arrested Stephen Farrow on suspicion of the murder of the Reverend John Suddards in Thornbury last week.

"His arrest follows a nationwide appeal for information which we released yesterday.

"I would like to thank the public and all those who have helped us to find him.

"It was as a direct result of assistance from a member of the public that we were able to locate this man and we would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude."

The day of the Vigilante is coming soon because of the inability of police, government and judges to protect law abiding citizens.
Unless criminals are punished accordingly for their crimes and not protected and pampered under the human rights act, then people will start taking the law into their own hands for better or worse.

Thanks to the members of the public and the police for catching him, lets hope that we can soon say a thank you to the judiciary system in ensureing that a convicted murderer is never released into society again. Not much to ask for in view of the fact that a persons life has been snubbed out, and the fallout of such a crime to the victims family.

Hang on, he hasn't even been charged or convicted yet... I think you are thanking the judiciary system a bit too early!

Forgive me, but I always understood that crime suspects are presumed innocent, until the facts laid before the Courts prove them guilty; my presuming that the a-hem *judges* on this noticeboard would have things another way ? Already the gossip-merchants here have slandered and libelled this priest; this, before he is even cold in his grave, and on what basis of truth, I am led to wonder, other than the fact that his photograph doesn't remind them of those of their favourite unshaven, grubby, raggedy, demonstrably hysterical and violent, ofttimes junky heart-throbs that not a few of these vocal judges-in-waiting are prone to paste upon their bedroom walls ?

So don't let him out again! Why is a known 'dangerous man' roaming our streets?!

The streets are teeming with dangerous criminals, the human rights scam allows their freedom whilst decent folk live in fear....

We don't know very much about this murder but the police do, so perhaps we should wait and see the result of this man trial. However if he is found guilty he should go to jail for a very long time.Although I doubt very much that he will serve more than half of his sentence and thats why people are fed up with the law in this country today.

Good to see that the folks on these sites who knew that the vicar was a paedophile also know that Stephen Farrow is an Eastern European gay man. Somehow the jury system doesn't look too good in Britain these days!

Hang him? dont be silly, The human rights brigade would be up in arms about it, Just give him a slap on the wrist or even a suspendid sentence.

Remember perhaps that an earlier man who was arrested has been released.

His picture should not be released by the police. Until and unless he is convicted, he is an innocent man.

The death penalty for murder and also the deportation or the death penalty for foreign murderers should all be options in the UK at this present time.

When will you doughnuts who post comments realise you are all dancing to the eu tune. Many years ago, when we had our English judicial system, when somebody was arrested the police were only allowed to say they had a suspect in custody but could'nt name him/her. Look at the example of Joanna Yates landlord who was named as chief suspect but later freed when the real killer was arrested. How would you like to be in that same situation, knowing you are innocent but the whole country thinking you are guilty. Not very pleasant is it. Just get it into your heads that westminster is merely a branch office of the eu and the sooner we are out of it the sooner our lives will improve.

Why do some people automatically assume that if a man is arrested then he must be guilty?
