Video: Chinese soldiers play with live grenade

Shocking footage has emerged of Chinese soldiers playing with a live grenade in a circle.

During the video, the soldiers stationed in Hong Kong, pass the live grenade to each other in a pass-the-parcel motion during a daring military exercise.

In the clip filmed last month, the six men then dive for a cover and a huge explosion ensues after the grenade is – eventually – dropped in a hole in the ground.



The People’s Liberation Army believes the exercise sharpens co-ordination, teamwork and mental strength, and is one of many perilous training exercises practised by soldiers – including jumping through fire rings.
