Video: Helicopter disintegrates on landing injuring four

Extraordinary footage of the moment a rescue helicopter disintegrated on landing has emerged, with four injured in the accident.


The incident occured as the helicopter set to land in Para, Brazil, where it then began to rock violently- crushing the cockpit and leaving the tail in two parts.

Footage captured by the Fire Department displayed the true extent of the damage as it came apart in seconds.

It is thought that the helicopter experienced ground resonance, which occurs when the rotor is still running when the aircraft is grounded.
