Holy tweet! Pope Benedict XVI's first Twitter message

Pope Benedict XVI has posted his first message on the social networking site Twitter. The Pontiff’s inaugural tweet reads: “Dear friends, I’m pleased to get in touch with you through Twitter. Thank you for your generous response. I bless all of you from my heart.” The 85-year-old head of the Catholic Church has over one million followers on the site. He will not be typing the tweets himself, but the Church says the messages will all be from him.
