Webb: Peep Show Cast Won't Die In Finale

Peep show star Robert Webb has told Sky News he will not kill off any characters in the series finale - just in case he wants to revisit the comedy.

The actor is resuming his role as Jeremy for a ninth series of the Channel 4 show with David Mitchell back as Mark.

Appearing on Sky News' Entertainment Week, alongside the co-stars of his new West End show, Webb said he would not be making the same mistake as Adrian Edmondson.

"We've learnt a lesson from the Young Ones," he joked, "that's exactly what you don't do. A few years later you might fancy doing series three."

He added: "We wanted to leave the door open."

Webb and Edmondson are appearing in Tim Firth's play, Neville's Island, alongside Miles Jupp and Neil Morrissey.

It follows four middle-aged, middle managers who get stranded during a team-building exercise in the Lake District.

The damp environment of the island has been recreated on stage with the actors spending much of the play in the wet clothing.

Morrissey said: "It's the most uncomfortable I've ever been on a set, ever."

Neville's Island is on at the Duke of York theatre until 13 January.
