Dempsey's spandex trials and tribulations

Actor and cycling enthusiast Patrick Dempsey is abused by friends and members of the paparazzi whenever they spot him pedalling around Los Angeles wearing tight-fitting spandex.

The Grey's Anatomy star chooses the unfashionable outfit for comfort, but admits it doesn't win him any admirers.

He says, "I wear Spandex, but I get a lot of crap for it. In Hollywood circles, certainly, but also my wife laughing at me as I walk out in my garb. So I get it in the house, and then I go out and the paparazzi give me a hard time."
