Amy Winehouse's father Mitch has slammed rumours his superstar daughter is too thin - insisting she has put on weight in a bid to get well.
The star has endured a string of health problems in recent months, including a trip to rehab in a desperate attempt to kick her drink and drug demons, and a bout of highly contagious skin condition impetigo.
The Back To Black singer was also hospitalised last month after collapsing at her London home. She was later diagnosed with traces of deadly lung disease emphysema.
And it is not only those health issues which has caused concern for her friends and family - Winehouse's increasingly skinny frame has sparked major fears for her future and prompted a string of rumours she was battling anorexia.
But the star's father - who on Wednesday unveiled a waxwork of his daughter at London's Madame Tussauds - insists she has piled on a stone and a half (21 pounds/9.5 kilograms) in weight since the height of her health worries.
He tells WENN, "She's not as thin as that.
"But, she has put on about a stone and a half since then, so maybe she is too thin, but she's trying."
