    Win Euro 2012 Semi Final

Spain have reached the final of Euro 2012 after beating Portugal on penalties in Donetsk.

They won the shoot-out 4-2 after the game finished 0-0 after extra time.

Spain dominated possession during the first half but failed to convert their domination into clear chances.

Portugal came out fighting in the second period and could have won the game when Ronaldo raced clear in the closing moments of normal time, only to put his shot over.

Spain had two clear chances to win the game in extra time but Rui Patricio saved the close range efforts from Andres Iniesta and Jesus Navas.

Both teams missed their first penalties in the shoot-out - Xabi Alonso and Joao Moutinho both having their efforts saved.

With the score at 3-2, Portugal's Bruno Alves smashed his effort against the bar before Cesc Fabregas sealed the win for Spain with the decisive strike.

Spain will face Germany or Italy in Sunday's final.
