Is he really in this World....OAP freezing, the giving of billions away in aid, cuts to police, military, border force, messing with the NHS, crime going up ( yes it is 1/4 of all calls to the police don't get answered ) So he worries about women keeping their houses clean.... Really David there are more pressing things happening in this once Great country.

I have never heard so much nonsense in my life !! Benefits for families and people with cancer etc are being cut left right & centre, but women who must be earning a decent wage will get help to pay for a cleaner....LUDICROUS...

I used to work long hours, and I was well paid..My guilty pleasure was having someone do my ironing every week. It was what I called luxury, being able to get something done that I hated doing and being able to afford the pleasure.........Whatever next !!!!

This Goverment is in only to help the rich,
      • Gargletrope 3 months ago
Err. Lindy..think you have a memory block. It was Labour that created the Benefit system we have which pays for staying at home. A Benefits system which we as taxpayers pays for and which is now unsustainable.

As soon as anyone talks of reforming it. Out come all the socialist whingers and Unions to shout "Attacking the poor".

This Is Conclusive Proof this Character isnt from this Planet !
The Country is Falling around His Feet and He comes out with this S/hyte ?
Hes probably trying to Impress somebody over there as to how "Affluent" His Country is, when it should read "Effluent" because of His Coalitions Actions/Inactions !

Great Mr Cameron after you finish sorting this nonsense out , is there any chance of creating any real jobs ?

He should be offering tax breaks to the husbands (or paying equivalent to the woman) of those women that serve the country bringing up the next generation with no recognition for all the hard work they do and all the money they save the state not requiring childcare to be contributed towards. Everybody (even the libdems) agree that this is the best environment to bring kids up, yet there is no recognition for those families that make that sacrifice and don't cost the state a fortune in childcare costs.

Exactly Andy. Basically, if you have a kid and decide to exclude the father the government will write you a cheque.

        Spot on Andy.

what about those whos wages are held down so much by the government they are on too low a wage to pay for cleaners or tax.
    • malcolm  •  Bath, England  •  3 months ago
It is not just women who clean or think that cleaning is beneath them. Another stupid idea that needs to be nipped in the bud. Can you believe this out of touch and off planet idiot ?

Where will it end. Can we hope to get tax relief if we hire a plumber or carpenter.

If they are like the cleaners employed by the Government Departments, it's a fair bet many will be illegal immigrants anyway!
    • Boadicea  •  3 months ago
How about tax breaks for families with stay-at-home mother (or father of course). Switch tax allowance to the working partner. As for quotas, rubbish. A job should be filled by the best candidate, regardless of gender.

Nice to see someone with sense - 100% agree!
    • Jan  •  3 months ago
Well, what else do you expect from a Tory-led government?
    • ladybird  •  London, England  •  3 months ago
Surely it's the cleaner who needs the tax break.
