007’s Road to a Million is James Bond's first foray into unscripted territory.

This Prime Video reality show spin-off is a big move for 007 which has primarily been a film entity under Eon Productions. The show marks the first occasion that James Bond has been licensed by producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson for an unscripted TV venture.

It's one of the most fascinating projects on Prime Video's schedule and its most high profile investment in unscripted television since The Grand Tour.

It's certainly a unique proposition combining James Bond with a competition show so read on for everything we know about 007: Road to a Million.


007: Road to a Million cast

Prime Video has revealed who will be taking part in the show, which arrives on Friday, 10 November. The cast consists of nine pairings who will take on the challenge.

Beth and Jen

Jen is a trained nurse worked in prisons before joining the RAF reserves, and she has worked in Afghanistan, Kabul, and Australia to help soldiers and asylum seekers.

Beth, meanwhile, is specialised in emergency care and has worked with emergency departments across the world, including helping ultra-marathon runners in the Arctic Circle. She is now an advanced clinical practitioner in Gloucestershire.

James and Joey

James and Joey are brothers with a six-year age gap, with Joey working as an electrician and James worked as a copywriter and musician before the pandemic led him to pursue a career solely in music.

Kamara and Josh

Kamara and Josh met when they began working as youth workers in their local community, their love of travel, anthropology and different cultures brought them closer together.

Kamara is described as being more daring and riskier than Josh, and she will be the one to take the lead whenever a decision needs to be made.

Sana and Saiqa

Sisters Sana and Saiqa are 18 months apart and see themselves as twins rather than older and younger siblings, Sana works as a process engineer while Saiqa is a fraud analyst.

James and Sam

Father and son duo James and Sam share a close bond, with the former feeling the need to make up for lost time by making memories with his son after often working eight weeks away on an oil rig.

Keith and Nick

Retired police officers, Keith and Nick are described as "two peas in a pod" and after years of working in the service they feel ready to take on the challenge of Road to a Million.

Colin and Danny

Friends Colin and Danny have been friends for a decade who connected after learning their fathers came from the same parish in Jamaica, and they now see each other as "brothers from another mother."

Grace and Daniella

Friends Grace and Daniella first met whilst working at Capital Radio in Glasgow, now radio presenters in their own right they are keen to share their love of Scotland and represent the nation on the show.

Tanaka and James

James is described as a ladies man by his friend Tanaka, who was the school sports star. The pair have remained firm friends throughout university and they are ready to take on the challenge of the show together.


007: Road to a Million trailer

"A million pound... what wouldn't you do?" Well, in 007: Road to a Million, we're about to find out. The first trailer for Prime Video's new Bond series plunges a batch of contestants tux-first into a world of daring stunts and espionage, with Succession star Brian Cox pulling the strings.

What is 007: Road to a Million?

The first James Bond reality show will feature multiple teams of two competing across the world for a grand prize of up to £1 million.

The contestants will be tested on their intelligence, endurance and heroism as they have to complete obstacles and also answer quiz questions to advance in the competition.

The show will take place in locations made iconic through the Bond films such as Jamaica, the Scottish Highlands and Venice.

Who is The Controller?

Succession star Brian Cox is entering the world of James Bond in his own unique way as The Controller.

Prime Video described the character as "villainous and cultured, and revels in the increasingly difficult journeys and questions the contestants must overcome. He has millions of pounds to give away—up to £1m per couple—but he doesn’t make it easy. Whilst he lurks in the shadows, he is watching and controlling everything."

Cox also commented on joining the show: “I got to see how ordinary people would cope with being on a James Bond adventure. As they travel the world to some of the most iconic Bond locations, it gets more intense and nail-biting.

"I enjoyed my role as both villain and tormentor, with license to put the hopeful participants through the mangle.”
