The prize for funniest joke of the Edinburgh Fringe has been won by Peterborough comedian Darren Walsh.
His joke, that was voted for by viewers of TV channel Dave, saw the 39-year-old join a list of winners that includes Tim Vine and Stewart Francis.
The winning joke was: “I just deleted all the German names off my phone. It’s Hans free.”
The top 10 jokes also included the youngest ever entrant in the competition - 12-year-old Grace The Child - who came in tenth with: "They’re always telling me to live my dreams. But I don’t want to be naked in an exam I haven’t revised for…”
Walsh is no stranger to winning, having already won the first UK Pun Championship last year.
He said of his Edinburgh Fringe prize: “What a punderful feeling.”
Walsh, who also has a comedy show called ‘Punderbolt’, is also known for his joke-laden Twitter feed.
