The 10 Longest-Living Presidents in U.S. History, from Jimmy Carter to Joe Biden

Jimmy Carter's 100th birthday on Oct. 1 is a reminder of the record-setting life he's lived. Though he is the longest-living president by a long shot, a few other leaders enjoyed long lives after the White House

As former President Jimmy Carter celebrates his milestone 100th birthday on Oct. 1, he sets a new record for the longest-lived president in United States history. It's a title he's held since March of 2019, and a record he's broken with each birthday since.

Though Carter is the only president thus far to hit the century mark, he isn't the only one who has enjoyed a long life after the White House. Some of the nation's earliest presidents reached their 80s, and a few more recent presidents lived into their 90s.

From former President Carter in the top spot down to current President Joe Biden in 10th, here are the U.S. presidents who have gone down in history for living the longest lives.
