Growing up in Liverpool is a unique experience and our time at school is something that leaves us with cherished memories that will last a lifetime. There are things generations of school children across Liverpool have all experienced from the hymns we sang to the school trips we went on.

We want to remind you of all the things that you may have forgotten about your time in the classroom. A lot of fun times were had from playing ollies in the yard to chasing friends during British Bulldog, but many of these activities have now faded away.

Other memories we have from school have stood the test of the time, with Pasta King still a popular lunch option for many across Merseyside. A number of school dinner items have been staples in British schools for decades, from hot school meals to sweet treats.

One way to do so is to find work in residence or dining halls, where universities may give credits or waive fees. Lastly, Sun encourages college students to find part-time jobs to bring in some extra cash. "When you work and you find that job, whether it be the internship office at your college or the local newspaper... not only will you be bringing in income, but you'll also be building a foundation, a resume, a work foundation for when you get closer to graduation. You'll have actually a leg up versus the many, many candidates then competing for that next perfect job or aspirational job that you want," she explains.
