11 animal-friendly bags inspired by the Kooples x PETA collab

In summer 2017, the Kooples collaborated with Emily Ratajkowski to create the perfect bag for all occasions. Now the French brand, which vowed to go fur-free in 2016, is keeping its promise by teaming up with PETA on a new vegan clutch made of faux pony hair and a playful leopard print.

The bag retails for $65, and all proceeds will benefit PETA. The Kooples x PETA clutch is available now in all Kooples stores and online at the thekooples.com.

However, the Kooples isn’t the only brand that has embraced the fur-free movement. Most recently, Gucci announced that its collections will be fur-free starting with spring-summer 2018. Plus, Stella McCartney has always been transparent with the production and materials of her pieces, offering cruelty-free fashion.

So, as bigger fashion houses shift their focus to more animal-friendly products, faux-leather and faux-fur items are becoming more accessible through fashion retailers like H&M, Gap, Net-a-Porter, Yoox, and more. Here are our picks of the best leather-free and fashion-forward bags worth adding to your closet.
