Next week's Emmerdale episodes ramp up the drama, with a terrifying fire and explosion at the sweet factory which leads to a shock death.

Here's a full collection of 12 storylines you can look forward to.

1. Bernice makes progress with Liam

Can a relationship ever really recover from one party accusing the other of being a serial killer? We can't get enough of Bernice and Liam together, so we hope so.

Viewers have already seen Bernice start planning a Wild West murder mystery fundraiser in the hope of winning Liam over after their recent misunderstanding.

Early next week, Liam is still stubbornly insisting that he won't be attending the event – but he soon changes his tune when Bernice offers him the much-coveted role of sheriff. Liam loves every minute of his new role as he arrives on Main Street on a horse, in full costume.

2. A proposal is in the works

Ambitious Bernice doesn't just have a reunion with Liam in her sights – she wants to take their relationship a step further while she's at it.

Bernice confides in her sister Nicola about how she's planning to propose to Liam as part of the celebrations, desperately hoping that he'll say yes. But given the often-farcical nature of their relationship so far, will Bernice's proposal go to plan? It seems doubtful.

3. Amy and Kerry are locked up

Amy and Kerry's relationship is still full of tension after the Nate drama, but some of the villagers are getting sick to the back teeth over their feud.

Dressed as US marshals as part of the Wild West theme, Jimmy and Dan lock the mother-daughter duo up in a specially-created 'jail' at the salon, hoping that forcing them together will help to resolve their differences.

Given how the rest of this week plays out for the Wyatts, we can't help wondering whether Amy and Kerry being locked up like this is deliberate foreshadowing of legal trouble to come...

4. Amy's past comes back to haunt her

The Wild West day also sees Amy receive an unwelcome visitor, who reminds her of a problem she ran away from when she left Belfast.

It turns out that Amy owes money from a debt she incurred during her time away – and with the threat of the police now getting involved, this could affect her custody chances with Kyle if she doesn't sort things out quickly.

Natalie Ann Jamieson, who plays Amy, recently explained: "Amy got into a lot of debt because of a past partner. There's a woman that she owes money to, because her partner asked her to take out a loan.

"This woman has managed to track Amy down, so she has to find the money somehow."

5. Kerry's solution has terrible consequences

Keen to help her daughter when she finds out what's going on, Kerry decides they should steal the Wild West charity money, which is locked away in the factory safe. Putting a drastic plan into action, she sets off the fire alarm at work and seizes the opportunity to nab the cash when there's nobody around.

When Amy points out that CCTV cameras will have recorded every second of Kerry's criminal act (for once in soap, there is CCTV), they head back inside to sabotage the surveillance equipment. Unbeknown to them both, the damage to the CCTV starts a fire at Sharma & Sharma.

6. Tracy has romance on her mind

Just when we thought that Emmerdale had forgotten about Tracy and Billy's romantic connection (especially as Dawn has also been bonding with Billy recently), the storyline is suddenly revisited.

When Billy takes part in the Wild West event and turns up in costume on the back of a horse, Tracy is bowled over and shares her admiration with fellow onlooker Priya.

7. Frank behaves strangely

Tracy and Vanessa are both frustrated when they see their father Frank loyally running around after Megan. No change there.

However, we soon see that there's more going on with Frank than meets the eye as he starts to behave furtively. What is he hiding?

8. Tracy's love life puts her in danger

After renewing her attempts to flirt with Billy, a playful Tracy decides to wait for him in the factory storeroom.

Sadly for Tracy, her romantic plans coincide with the fire at the factory and it's not long before she finds herself locked in among the flames and the smoke. Not everyone will make it out of the situation alive, so could Tracy be the victim?

9. A police investigation begins

On the day after the blaze, fire investigators and the police pay a visit to the village to get to the bottom of what happened. Seeing his beloved business in ruins, Jai is particularly keen to get to the bottom of what happened.

Kerry tries to reassure Amy that the fire was nothing to do with them, but knowing this may not be the case, Amy feels very uneasy.

10. Victoria and Robert share a touching moment

As Victoria steps up her plans to leave the village, wanting to go sooner than expected, she's stopped in her tracks due to a scare with her pregnancy.

After experiencing stomach pains, Victoria is taken to hospital for an emergency scan. Fortunately, Victoria is assured that everything is fine and she's thrilled when Robert becomes teary over seeing the sonogram, finally prepared to fully accept the baby as part of the Sugden family.

11. Lee returns again

Victoria's positive day is ruined when despicable Lee pops up again, this time to demand "compensation" and a public apology from her over the allegations she made against him. Understandably, Victoria is adamant that she'll never apologise to the man who raped her.

Diane tries to convince Victoria that paying off Lee could be the best option to get rid of him, but the disgraced car salesman later ups the ante by asking for double what they've offered – and refusing to back down over the apology.

With Robert in turmoil over what his sister is going through, is it only a matter of time before his anger rises again?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with extra episodes at 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
