If you live in leggings, you probably also spend a lot of time plucking little pieces of balled-up lint from the inner thighs of those leggings. But there’s a better way to solve the annoying issue — and it’s oddly satisfying to use.

The Conair Fabric Defuzzer safely removes fuzz, lint and pilling from worn clothing, upholstery and other fabrics. The device has three depth settings to customize to fabric type. Plus, a detachable lint catcher helps you clean the fuzz out without making a mess.

With 4.4 out of 5 stars on Amazon, customers say the product “works like a charm” and makes items “look brand new.”

One cheeky reviewer writes: “Hi, I’m obsessed. I can’t stop. I should send this back. I’ve started asking if my neighbors need anything de-pilled. I’m going to buy one of these for everyone in my life. Everyone needs to own this. Take it away from me.” And, honestly, same.

I recently bought the rechargeable version of the Conair fabric shaver when my couch started to pill after too many work from home days. It quickly shaved off the balled-up fluff, restoring my modern couch to its former glory. Impressed with the effectiveness of the shaver, I decided to take it to some of my sweats and leggings with pilling on the inner thighs. The shaver quickly and effectively smoothed that pilling too without damaging the fabric at all. Like those buyers before me, I quickly became mesmerized by the gadget and looked for anything and everything to defuzz.

As with many tech devices, a minority of Amazon buyers say their devices stopped functioning after little use and had to be returned. Others say the device tore their clothing. This, however, can likely be avoided by selecting a shallow depth for delicate fabrics, which is manufacturer recommended.

If your leggings, sweaters, sweatpants or upholstery could use a shave, scoop up this lifesaver. Just make sure you block off a good chunk of time for your newest hobby.
