Next week's Hollyoaks episodes see Luke make a welcome return, Finn makes an unwelcome return and Tony starts to realise that something is seriously wrong over Harry's disappearance.

Here's a full collection of 12 storylines you can look forward to.

1. Diane makes a big decision over Finn

Diane finds herself torn between two different sides of her family following the big news that Finn is due to be released from prison. When she confides in Tony and Sinead that Finn wants to see her, neither are in favour of the idea and they want her to stay away.

However, when Tony starts to worry about where Harry is and refuses to give up on his son (bit late for that), Diane decides to take the same approach and visits Finn.

Finn is planning to be rehoused away from the Hollyoaks village, not wanting to upset any of the residents who were affected by his crimes. However, it seems Diane has other ideas when she insists that Finn should move back into the family home.

2. Diane and Tony hit the rocks

Diane's renewed loyalty towards Finn causes more tension for her marriage to Tony – and there's even a danger that this could tear them apart for good.

Alex Fletcher, who plays Diane, recently explained: "Tony is so focused on Harry and trying to find him. He's having sleepless nights and he's causing a lot of upsets in the house.

"Diane's a bit like: 'Well, what about my son?' They're both not being very supportive of each other's situations, so they have this blazing row. It ends very bluntly."

3. Tony fears Harry is dead

The tensions at the Hutchinsons' flat come as Tony faces up to the devastating possibility that Harry is dead. Following the discovery of Louis' body in the river, Tony rightly suspects that Harry could be another victim of the village's latest serial killer.

Breda tries to deter Tony from his search for Harry, but accidentally arouses his suspicions with her weird behaviour. Sadly, rather than suspect the weird woman who harps on about vengeance, damnation and quotes ominous Bible verses every five minutes, Tony jumps to the wrong conclusion and thinks she's covering for Sylver.

Tony then causes a stir by openly accusing the gentle giant of killing Harry… d'oh.

4. Tony spots an important clue

Sadie sends Tony a picture of baby Isaac and he notices that the teddy bear next to him in the photo – with "God is love" sewn on the back – looks familiar.

Tony shows Mercedes the picture of Isaac, giving them both an opportunity to make the connection to Breda. Will Tony realise it's a clue to Breda's unsettling fixation on the child she helped to deliver?

5. Grace makes progress

While he's not busy fighting off murder accusations, Sylver continues to help Grace with her ongoing physiotherapy – unaware that she's smitten with him.

Sylver convinces Grace that it's time to take her first steps and he couldn't be prouder when she does so successfully, giving her new hope after the hit and run accident.

6. Bobby vs Mercedes

Mercedes has faced plenty of insults in her time, but the harsh words of her son Bobby hit home this week as he continues to struggle with his knowledge of her affair with Liam.

As Mercedes tries to bond with the schoolboy, he calls her a traitor (fair comment) and says that he doesn't like her. Witnessing the family tension, Nana tells Mercy that it's time to do what's best for Bobby and not what's best for her. Well, there is a first time for everything.

7. Mercedes slips up

Nana's warning comes just as Liam has bought tickets for himself and Mercedes to head to Marrakesh, leaving that very same day. Mercedes seriously considers telling Sylver about her intentions, but whether she'll finally 'fess up remains to be seen.

Mercedes also messes up by accidentally telling Grace that her affair with Liam is ongoing. Having grown closer to Sylver recently, will Grace be willing to keep Mercy's sordid secret?

8. Brooke struggles over the baby

Brooke is still keeping her pregnancy a secret from Ollie. She plans to tell him everything on their latest date, but is taken aback when he brings baby DJ along with him. Darren and Mandy want Ollie to spend more time with DJ, so have engineered an "emergency" which forces him to play babysitter.

When Ollie has to run back to get DJ's blanket, Brooke feels uncomfortable as she looks after the baby by herself – a big reminder of what the future holds for her.

9. Ollie struggles with the lies

Ollie's lie that Darren is DJ's father seemed like a good idea at the time, but he's finally starting to regret it. As he spends more time with DJ, Ollie starts to keep up the pretence that Luke isn't the daddy.

Cindy notices that Ollie is upset and decides to talk to him, but will she discover the truth?

10. Luke returns

Luke makes his long-awaited permanent return on August 30 (a day earlier on E4), turning up at The Hutch after being released from jail. Now back filming after his extended break, fan favourite Gary Lucy is a permanent cast member once again.

Digital Spy recently exclusively revealed that Cindy is being lined up as a new love interest for Luke. Ollie's lie is also a ticking timebomb which is sure to be revisited once he's back.

11. Sienna and Liberty bicker

Sienna, Liberty and Brody continue with their surrogacy plans, but not without some hiccups along the way.

On the eve of implantation day, Brody has to bring Sienna and Liberty together as they bicker over different approaches to the surrogacy process. Was Anna Passey, who plays Sienna, right to warn that this storyline could end in tears?

12. Peri looks to the future

The end of the summer marks a turning point for Peri after six long weeks putting up with temper tantrums at Tom's Turtles. Tantrums from Tom himself, rather than the kids, that is.

Peri is now heading to the local university to train to be a nurse and Leela couldn't be prouder of her daughter as she makes her last-minute preparations.

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
