Yahoo News 12 Hollyoaks spoilers for next week
Next week's Hollyoaks episodes see James Nightingale and Grace Black panic over someone knowing their secret, while Liam Donovan finds another target for his revenge.
Here's a full collection of 12 storylines to look forward to.
1. James panics on the day of the funeral
James has taken sleeping pills to help cope with his guilt over Jesse's death. He's still not keen on the idea of attending Jesse's funeral, but Grace turns up at his flat and forces him to attend. What Grace wants, Grace gets.
As the villagers start to gather to pay their last respects to Jesse, Mercedes pops up and tells James that she knows his secret. Is Mercedes referring to the shooting, or something else? We suspect the latter...
2. James receives a threatening note
James' day goes from bad to worse when Courtney makes an emotional speech at Jesse's wake. She admits that she blames herself for Jesse's death, prompting James's guilt to boil over as he blurts out that she deserves to know the truth.
James quickly composes himself after his near-confession, but the situation may soon be taken out of his hands, as he later receives an anonymous note which reads: "I know you shot Mercedes".
3. Grace also has reason to worry
As James ponders over who might have sent him the threatening letter, there's a further curveball when Grace reveals that she received one too.
Liam is quick to get involved with his own theories, suggesting that James or Grace may have inadvertently let something slip to John Paul or Sylver. No-nonsense as ever, Liam suggests that James and Grace should solve this mystery, sharpish.
4. Grace's detective work leads to a proposal
Grace is keen to know whether Sylver is the mystery letter-writer, so asks him some pointed questions about his marriage to Mercedes. Sylver replies that that he'd rather be married to Grace than Mercedes, but regrets his hasty words when she thinks he's proposing.
As Grace gets carried away with the idea of being Sylver's wife, the big question is whether he'll backtrack or go along with her wedding plans.
5. James and John Paul reunite
A gloomy week for James takes a happier turn when he finally gets a second chance with John Paul. The former couple have been drawn together on a number of occasions recently, but haven't made things official until now.
Finally laying his heart on the line, James asks John Paul whether they can give their relationship another try. When John Paul agrees, the pair share a kiss.
6. Liam terrorises Mercedes
Anyone on Liam's Dartboard of Doom should be quaking in their boots right now. He has already tried his best to make Maxine's life a misery recently, but now it's the turn of Mercedes to feel the full force of his wrath.
Liam and his heavies trash The Dog in front of Mercedes, who's terrified over the intruders as things turn nasty.
7. Sid makes a big mistake
Sid starts to fear that his relationship with Juliet isn't exciting enough, and it's music to Jordan's ears as he finds another way to manipulate his cousin. Jordan asks Sid to take the risk of stashing drugs for him at Hollyoaks High, and the impressionable teen agrees.
Unfortunately for Sid, this comes just as Nancy has asked PC Kiss to do a search of every locker at Hollyoaks High. Is Sid in trouble again?
8. Juliet agrees to work for Jordan
Feeling bolder than ever after his recent attempts to befriend Juliet, scheming Jordan finally asks her to work for him.
Sid is understandably worried about his girlfriend getting involved in the dark world of drugs. He fears for her safety, but his warnings are likely to go unheeded.
9. Edward's dark intentions continue
Marnie remains besotted with Edward and tries to impress him by arranging for a string quartet to play at her beloved patisserie. She also suggests that Edward could play his cello for her customers.
Despite Marnie's obvious interest in him, Edward gets distracted by his malevolent intentions towards Tony. Edward isn't happy at all when he sees how much happier Tony seems after his therapy sessions.
10. Mercedes gives Tony some advice
Now bonded together after the high drama on Breda's pig farm, Mercedes catches up with Tony to see how he's doing. Mercedes kindly gives Tony some advice on how to get his relationship with Diane back to normal.
Poor Tony must be desperate if he's taking relationship advice from Mercedes McQueen, but he's inspired to organise a date night with Diane. Sadly, Edward is still seething with anger and starts plotting how to ruin things.
11. Romeo hides again
Another week, another near-miss for Romeo as he hides half-naked in Toby and Celeste's flat again. As Romeo continues his affair with Celeste, Toby comes home unexpectedly, so lover boy ends up darting out of sight. Maybe Celeste should install a trapdoor?
The next day, Romeo worries when Toby seems to know about his affair with Celeste. Did he see something?
12. Tom discovers Romeo's secret
As the secret lovers continue to take big risks, Tom is surprised to spot Romeo and Celeste kissing.
Strait-laced Tom brings out his rule book by suggesting that Romeo should stop for his own safety, but his friend refuses to listen and can't resist the temptation of Celeste.
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm.
