Elsewhere, Martha has a new mental-health crisis after Kieran's departure, and Willow makes her return to the Bay.
Here's a full collection of 12 big moments coming up.
1. Dean and Mackenzie bond over their tough times
Ziggy lets Mackenzie know that she has finally told Dean about her new relationship with Tane. She asks Mackenzie to keep an eye on Dean, aware that he'll be struggling.
When Mackenzie checks in with Dean, she's forced to come clean about how she has known about Ziggy's new romance for a while. Dean is annoyed, believing that Mackenzie could have prevented him from making a fool of himself with Ziggy.
Dean soon relents and forgives Mackenzie – before offering some advice of his own. When Dean learns that Ari and Mia are having dinner together, he encourages Mackenzie to be more proactive when it comes to protecting her relationship.
2. Summer Bay gathers to celebrate Tori and Christian
Summer Bay's residents have gathered together at Salt for Tori and Christian's surprise engagement party. Unfortunately, there's a delayed start as Tori refuses to go inside when she learns that Justin and Leah have sprung the party on her.
Tori stubbornly insists that she hates surprises, but Christian ultimately manages to talk her round. Tori embraces the celebration, but also gives Justin a telling-off for letting her believe that his recent shifty behaviour was health-related.
Later on, Justin gives a touching speech welcoming Christian to the family, before performing a song. The party is ultimately cut short when Christian is called into work at the hospital.
3. Christian and Lewis clash over a patient
When Christian arrives at Northern Districts Hospital, he decides that urgent surgery is required to save a patient. Lewis challenges him on this, pointing out that Christian was drinking at the engagement party and shouldn't be operating on anyone.
Although Christian insists that his one sip of champagne wouldn't make any difference, Lewis stands firm and Tori ends up being called in to resolve the situation.
Tori shocks Christian by siding with Lewis, warning that rules are rules and someone else will have to carry out the surgery.
The next morning, Christian is livid as he discovers that the patient in question died. He strongly believes that he could have saved them if he'd been allowed to operate, so bitterly blames Lewis for interfering.
4. Ari leaves Mackenzie devastated
Ari senses that Mackenzie is feeling uneasy about their relationship, so encourages her to open up. Mackenzie admits that she fears Ari is still in love with Mia, especially as they're spending so much time together.
When Ari doesn't seem to be in any hurry to deny this accusation, Mackenzie is heartbroken. She tells Ari to let her know once he finally works out what he wants.
5. Susie is revealed to be a conwoman
Susie spends time at John's house as she masterminds his campaign for the upcoming Surf Club president election. She uses this opportunity to dig for as much information as she can about John's life, questioning him about the pictures of Raffy and Jett that are up around the house, and asking him whether he has any biological children.
Later, when John heads out to buy some champagne, Susie is left alone in the house for the first time. Her true motives are revealed as she snoops through John's financial records and takes photos that she can refer to later.
6. Ari and Mia reflect on the past
Ari helps Mia to move into the caravan park following her decision to stick around in Summer Bay for a while. As they talk, Ari notices that Mia still has an old family photo of them and Chloe in her wallet.
Ari questions whether they'd still be together if he hadn't gone to jail. Mia admits that she always intended for their relationship to be for keeps.
With lots to think about, Ari asks Mac to join him on a trip out of town for a few days. It's clear that he's still weighing up who he wants to be with.
7. Ryder and Chloe's animosity gets worse
Chloe struggled to hit it off with Ryder when she first met him and things get worse when she starts working with him at Salt. In Mac's absence, Ryder is entrusted with the task of training up Chloe.
Chloe makes life difficult for Ryder by refusing to listen to his instructions and constantly arguing with him. The situation reaches breaking point when Chloe storms out.
Later, Ryder is displeased when he learns that Mia has moved into the caravan park, which means he'll be seeing lots of Chloe at home as well as at work.
8. Bella asks Ryder for a favour
Bella gets annoyed when it seems that Chloe is dominating all of Nikau's time. She misses the time she used to spend alone with Nikau when it was just the two of them.
Bella asks Ryder to spend some time with Chloe so she's preoccupied for a while. Ryder is stunned by the suggestion, pointing out that he and Chloe can't stand each other and it'd never work out.
Bella changes tactics by directly asking Chloe to back off for a while, but is stunned when the newcomer refuses. Nikau witnesses the argument unfold and annoys Bella by siding with Chloe.
Ryder intervenes by trying to help Nikau see how much Bella is struggling and that she needs his support. Will Nikau take this on board?
9. Susie steps up her manipulation
Susie engineers a situation to get herself even closer to John. She claims that she's about to be made homeless, so John kindly invites her to move in with him. John fails to realise that this is exactly what Susie wanted.
John tells Susie that this new living arrangement would involve separate rooms and promises that he has no expectations. Manipulative Susie disagrees, inviting John to join her in the bedroom as she continues to pursue her secret scheme.
10. Martha's mental health deteriorates
Martha can't stand to be around Alf and Roo after Kieran's departure. She's still convinced that they're to blame for Kieran leaving the Bay, refusing to believe that her son could have been in the wrong.
Martha shocks Alf and Roo by suggesting that she might head back to Merimbula for a while. Alf and Roo are relieved when they seemingly manage to talk her round, but Martha later approaches Irene in a panicked state – declaring that Alf and Roo are keeping her prisoner.
11. Martha sees visions of Kieran
Martha's surprising claims about Alf and Roo spark concerns for her mental health. Later on, things get worse when Martha sees hallucinations of Kieran and becomes convinced that he's back in Summer Bay.
The vision of 'Kieran' apologises to Martha for his mistakes and vows to make amends – but in reality, Martha is talking to thin air.
12. Willow returns
Dean continues to struggle over Ziggy's new relationship. Although Ziggy keeps approaching him and wants to be friends, Dean insists that it's better for her to keep her distance from now on.
