Tricks and treats are around the corner as Southport readies itself for weeks of booooo-rilliant Halloween and October half-term fun.

From creepy crafts and ghoulish games to a fancy-dress disco plus pumpkins and potions galore, the much-loved coastal destination is ready to welcome families and visitors with a cauldron of bewitching events to enjoy.

Mexican Festival at Southport Pleasureland

Experience a flavour of Mexico at Pleasureland’s fabulous fiesta with a full line-up of spook-tacular entertainment on November 2.

With stilt walkers, fire performers, Batala drummers, stage shows and live music, the festival promises a thrilling night and an even more fantastical finale of fireworks.

Tickets are £20 and include unlimited access to all rides for the whole night.

Pumpkin Picking Adventure at Windmill Animal Farm

The Pumpkin Picking Adventure returns for another year.

Between October 12 and October 31 , bring yourself and your wellies to Windmill Animal Farm. Pick your perfect pumpkin from their farm-grown spooktacular selection to take home to carve and decorate into a mesmerising masterpiece.

Tickets are £18.95 for adults and £19.95 for children, under 1s go free, and include full access to the Windmill Animal Farm Attraction, the Runaway Farm Train, as well as a pumpkin of your choice.

Half-term mischief at Martin Mere Wetland Centre

Explore two weeks of wetlands magic at WWT this October half-term.

The centre invites all young witches and warlocks to weave a willow wand, craft potions and spells, paddle out on a 'Canoe Scarefari' and participate in a Fancy-Dress competition between October 21 and November 3.

Tickets are £18.15 for adults and £11.80 for children, under 4s and WWT Members go free.

Spooky Halloween Carvery at Formby Hall Golf Resort

A ghoulishly great day of entertainment awaits the whole family at.

On October 26, pick up your broomsticks and fly to Formby Hall Golf Resort for party games, Halloween crafts, disco, and other fun for children along with a devilishly delicious carvery lunch.

Tickets are £30 for adults and £15 for children, under 2s go free.

Victorian Day at Wayfarer’s Arcade

Transport yourself to Victorian Southport with a company of actors and music hall singers ‘doing the Lambeth Walk’ as you shop.

Sefton 4 Good’s Spooktacular Halloween Quiz Night

Come along with friends and family in your best costumes to the Spooktacular Quiz Night and test your knowledge on all things Halloween while raising money for local good causes through Sefton 4 Good.

The Quiz Night will be held at Southport Market’s Event Hall on October 30 and will be filled with tricky trivia, ghoulish games, and devilish delights.

Tickets are £5 per person.

The Twitchy Witch Show at Southport Market

The Twitchy Witch has hopped on her broomstick and flown her spooky antics to Southport.

Join brave heroes Hansel, Gretel, and the Knowing Owl to put an end to her miserably mean attitude at the thrilling, family-friendly show on October 31.

Recommended for ages 3+, tickets for children are £13.72, adults go free with children.

Mesmerising Make It! Craft Workshop at The Atkinson

Attend a free family craft workshop with a Halloween twist on October 31 that is perfect for kids of all ages.

Spooky Afternoon Tea at The Vincent Hotel

Running from October 1 to November 9, The Vincent Hotel are offering a Spooky Afternoon Tea where one can expect the unexpected with plenty of treats (no tricks), from sinister scones to spine-chilling sandwiches.
